1 Cook the pasta
Boil your chosen pasta until al dente. Drain, reserving a bit of pasta water.

In a large pan, sauté minced garlic and chilli flakes in olive oil. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook until softened. Add chunks of mackerel, capers, and olives, stirring gently to combine.

3 Toss and serve
Toss the cooked pasta with the mackerel mixture. Add lemon juice, fresh parsley, and a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce. Season with salt and pepper, then serve immediately.
