Ingredients:
- 400 g Tuna steak
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 2 cloves Minced garlic
- 1 tbsp Fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp Fresh basil
- 1 tbsp Fresh thyme
- 0.5 tsp Crushed red chilli flakes
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper
- 8 pieces Wooden skewers
Instructions:
-
1 Skewer Preparation
- Place the wooden skewers in a bowl of water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning during grilling. Meanwhile, trim the tuna steak and cut it into uniformly sized cubes.
-
2 Marinating the Tuna
- Combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, parsley, basil, thyme, and red chilli flakes in a mixing bowl. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper. Carefully fold in the tuna cubes ensuring every piece is evenly coated and let it sit for 20 minutes.
-
3 Assembling the Skewers
- Thread the marinated tuna cubes onto the soaked skewers, spacing them evenly to allow for uniform cooking on all sides.
-
4 Grilling Process
- Preheat your grill to a medium-high setting. Grill the skewers for about 2-3 minutes per side until the exterior gains a light char, ensuring the centre remains slightly pink and tender.
-
5 Finishing Touches
- Transfer the skewers onto a serving dish. Garnish with an extra sprinkle of freshly chopped herbs and a drizzle of lemon juice if preferred, then serve immediately.
