Spaghetti with Charred Baby Octopus in Smoked Garlic Sauce Recipe
Tender octopus gets a smoky kiss from the grill, then joins forces with a luxurious garlic cream sauce for a decadent twist on the classic seafood pasta. It's a dish fit for a special occasion, or a way to elevate your next weeknight dinner.
Ingredients:
- 500 g baby octopus, cleaned and halved
- 400 g spaghetti
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 200 mL cooking cream
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:

1 Prepare Octopus
Clean and halve baby octopus. Sear in a hot pan until golden, about 2-3 minutes each side. Set aside.

2 Cook Pasta
Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain, reserving some pasta water.

3 Make Garlic Sauce
Sauté minced garlic in olive oil until golden. Add a pinch of smoked paprika, then blend with cooking cream and a splash of reserved pasta water to create a smooth sauce.

Toss spaghetti with the garlic sauce, top with charred octopus, and finish with chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon.
