Mediterranean Seared Tuna Pasta Recipe
Perfectly seared tuna steaks take centre stage, drizzled with a vibrant tomato and olive sauce. Tossed with al dente pasta, this dish offers a delightful harmony of textures and flavours, making it both nourishing and satisfying.
Ingredients:
- 400g pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tuna steaks (about 200g each)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 400g canned chopped tomatoes
- 100g black olives, sliced
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:

1 Cook Pasta
Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain.

2 Sear Tuna
Season tuna steaks with salt and pepper, then sear in a hot skillet with olive oil until just cooked through, approximately 2-3 minutes per side. Slice thinly.

3 Prepare the Sauce
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until thickened.

4 Combine and Serve
Toss the pasta with the tomato sauce, sliced seared tuna, and olives. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
