Blue Swimmer Crab Linguine
Try our Blue Swimmer Crab Linguine, where tender strands of al dente pasta entwine with succulent pieces of cooked crab meat, enhanced by the zestiness of fresh lemon and the subtle heat of chilli. This dish is a delightful symphony of flavours, adorned with cherry tomatoes and fresh parsley, offering a refreshing and elegant dining experience.
Ingredients:
- 400g Linguine
- olive oil
- 1 finely chopped brown onion
- 3 crushed garlic cloves
- 1 small red chilli
- 400g blue swimmer crab meat
- 250g cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 Zest and juice of lemon
- ¼ cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions:

1 Cook Linguine
Cook the linguine in a large saucepan of boiling salted water according to packet instructions or until al dente. Drain well and set aside.

2 Sauté Onion:
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until softened.

3 Add Garlic and Chilli:
Add the garlic and chilli to the pan and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until aromatic.

4 Cook Crab Meat:
Increase the heat to high, add the crab meat to the pan and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until heated through.

5 Combine with Linguine:
- Add the cherry tomatoes, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the pan. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until the tomatoes start to soften.
- Add the cooked linguine to the crab mixture in the pan. Toss to combine and heat through.

6 Season and Serve:
Stir through the chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the linguine immediately.
