Spaghetti with Spicy Squid and Tomato Sauce Recipe
A fiery fusion of tender squid and a rich, tangy tomato sauce, spiked with a devilish kick of chilli. It's a dish that transforms simple ingredients into a flavour sensation, perfect for those craving a comforting yet exciting meal.
Ingredients:
- 300g spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp red chilli flakes
- 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
- 300g squid, cleaned and sliced into rings
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp sugar
- Fresh basil, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions:

1 Prepare the Sauce
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic and red chilli flakes until fragrant. Add canned tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes, then season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.

2 Cook the Squid
While the sauce is simmering, heat a separate pan with a little olive oil. Add sliced squid and cook for 2-3 minutes until just opaque. Add the squid to the tomato sauce and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss with a bit of olive oil.
