Ingredients:
- 1 side of salmon (about 1.5kg)
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- Fresh coriander, for garnish
- Sliced spring onions, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions:
-
1 Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, freshly grated ginger, minced garlic, and a splash of lime juice. Place the side of salmon in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the salmon is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to develop.
-
2 Bake the Salmon
Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the marinated salmon on it, skin-side down. Pour any remaining marinade over the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and slightly caramelised on the edges.
-
3 Serve
Once baked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander, sliced spring onions, and sesame seeds. Serve the salmon hot with steamed jasmine rice and stir-fried vegetables.
